How To DIY Painted Cork Board:
I picked up these heat trivets at IKEA for 2.99/3 pack. I knew I wanted to have a set of cute cork boards I could hang up in my new apartment, so I decided to look up some geometric designs that would look cute with my chevron bedspread.
1. Use painters tape to tape off the design you want.
2. Paint the spaces with whatever colors you want using acrylic paint
3. Let dry COMPLETELY before removing tape to ensure a clean line
I noticed the cork was hard to tape down well unless it was on a hard surface because the cork will bend and then leave spaces in your tape line. Make sure you press it down on a flat surface and leave it there while you paint!
